So my daughter (Sugar Pie) and I (Swee-T) went to Santa Monica Pier to continue to celebrate Valentines Day 2-15-14. I love showering my baby girl with gifts and fun things to do. She really appreciates it to. I was 70 something at the beach, but definitely a colder evening. We had so much fun and spending 10 hours there went really fast . I let her play in the water, while I read a book. There is a touch and feel Aquarium, MerryGo Round and I got us unlimited ride passes on Groupon for $10. Normally $20. So we could ride all day on all the roller coasters, bumper cars, Buckaneer (which they call the dragon). We ate and at some point she wanted to go play in the park. There are shops and alot of other things to do here to fill up your day. Just be creative.
Bring your beach blankets and / or beach chairs. I would suggest parking on the pier it's $10. Make sure you box up your chips or cover them with a blanket because the Seguls are NOT shy and quite aggressive. Some sunglasses for the glare and (crows feet prevention) is great, and for the sunblock allergics like myself don't forget your African Organic Shea Butter or Pure zinc oxide.
